Our Story

Intention is a word often used at the beginning of yoga classes to guide the energy wielded in practice.

It is with intention that Amy Hogan & Laura Teal created Mantra Yoga Collective.

Intention is a word often used at the beginning of yoga classes to guide the energy wielded in practice. It is with intention and care and the support of an amazing community that Amy Hogan and Laura Teal created Mantra Yoga Collective. The mission of MYC is to allow yoga students and teachers alike to connect through movement and intention.

Yoga in our current culture has long been marketed as a practice for affluent, able-bodied, thin, white, cis-gendered women. Recognizing and owning their part in this narrative, Amy and Laura set out to change the narrative with Mantra Yoga Collective - a community of people and practices that is accessible to all humans. Access to wellness is a birthright for all bodies – and Mantra Yoga Collective honors that. Mantra’s mission is to continue to grow an accessible community – a collective – of passionate practitioners and mindful people.
