A friend first introduced me to Kundalini Yoga in 1997 when I was in my mid-twenties looking for some kind of physical activity for my stiff and inactive body. At the time, I could barely reach my toes to tie my shoelaces. I didn’t know what to think of the yoga classes, but they were air-conditioned with rests between exercises, so I kept going back.

With some regular weekly attendance, I found the chronic pain I’d had for the last 14 years began to fade and then disappear altogether. It was nothing short of a miracle! And then more changes kept happening. I wasn’t as angry anymore, I was more patient, I felt more understanding towards others, I was focused when I needed to be, my relationships improved. What was happening to me???

Yoga happened. It became a regular part of my life. I tried all kinds of yoga, but mostly stayed with the Kundalini, Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga styles. Yoga and meditation created such a buoyancy in my life that I realized I had to share this wondrous technology! So, for the last 20 years, I have been teaching and training students in yoga and meditation. But mostly, I have continued to be the student in this vast discipline called yoga. With thousands of hours of teaching experience, hundreds of hours of continuing education, I am passionate about helping others find their happy place through the practice of yoga and meditation.
